Granula

granula

The very first manufactured breakfast cereal. It was so tough, reportedly you had to soak it overnight before you could eat it. That might sound doable to you. It wasn’t. Granula was released in 1863, well before the home refrigerator, so you’re talking about soaking it in room temperature milk all night. Except, no, it’s not, because 1863 was also way before air conditioning, so now you’re talking about soaking it overnight in outside temperature milk. In milk, that, probably, has stayed mostly the same temperature all day since you got it out of the cow that morning. Gross. On the other hand, it does make me think of what if Dracula had a hippie brother, and that tickles me. 2.8/5
